 Oh my goodness! This Ultimate Designer Sports Watch arrived in a beautiful box and immediately upon opening the box, I sensed that "new car smell"! I was quite impressed by the fact that the box was lined with black satin and a plush pillow on which the watch was perfectly placed.

This presentation was quite impressive but what impressed me the most was that the watch was working and set to my time zone. Nice! Here is an image so you can see the other dials which add to the sporty look of the watch, but do not actually function.

This watch is water resistant, which is perfect for my husband, who is a boat captain. He would wear this watch at night to dinner, along the docks when he is not actually fishing or filleting fish. This watch is super high-end but durable.

The watch face was the perfect size, and my husband appreciated the masculine band, which features a brushed stainless steel inside band. The watch is adjustable.

I was so happy to review this product and to surprise my husband with him being involved in a review. He rarely wears a watch because he uses his Iphone whenever he needs to know what time it is. However, after wearing this watch, he feels like a million bucks. It is more of a nice piece of jewelry for him to proudly wear. And when he needs to know what time it is, he can leave his phone in his pocket. Excellent product. Beautiful, affordable and perfect for that special man in your life!

Variety and fun with tea! Check.

 I first made this tea with plain water. It was creamy and delicious. I experimented by adding almond milk and agave. Yum! I then added whipped cream and poured coconut oil over the whipped cream. The cream was cold and so the coconut oil formed a slight "shell" over the top. When I mixed in the coconut oil, my signature green tea drink exploded with yummy goodness. The Runner's Choice by Trusted Health Products

I was quite excited to review The Runner's Choice as I have undertaken long distance walking recently. I had stopped walking for awhile, as I developed painful blisters on the soles of both feet. I have done everything to try and prevent these blisters from developing and getting in the way of my workouts.

 I decided to take this month off from walking as the heat is hard on anyone's feet. I wanted to give this product a true review and so I applied The Runner's Choice once in the morning and then once before bed. I applied to clean feet and toes and then wore thin cotton socks until the oils were absorbed into my skin.

Yum! This product contains 100% natural botanical oils of almond, eucalyptus, eucalyptol, wintergreen, peppermint and spearmint for the discomfort of sore feet. Smelled so delicious as I applied. Do not rub in because you don't need to and I did apply, wait a few minutes and then I applied again because the soles of my feet were very dry and cracked. You will want to wear socks as the oils waft up into your nostrils which is a good thing but can be overpowering if you have to entertain or sit in church ;).

After four weeks, I have much softer, less cracked soles on both feet. I did not walk or wear any tight sneakers during this time. For an entire week, after 2 weeks I had sores on both insoles. I have to believe this "food for your feet" purged toxins and sores (blisters) that had been existing under the surface of my skin. I plan to continue to use this product and to also soak my feet in Epsom salts on walking days. I am very excited about this product as it has nothing bad for you in it. There is no good reason to use anything on your body that is not plant-based. I highly recommend The Runner's Choice. If you workout - you need it!

Cuppa Chocolate Teas (Strawberry Chocolate) by The Republic of Tea

Another fun adventure into tea! I reviewed The Republic of Tea's Cuppa Chocolate Teas. Yes, I reviewed all 5 teas which come 5 of each in the box (stay tuned for the other 4 chocolate teas reviews). However,  this review pertains specifically to my favorite - Strawberry Chocolate!!! omg. This tea was the most deliciously fruity smelling. Immediately upon ripping open the packet, strawberry chocolate and bourbon vanilla beans in my face- pow!

The sipping experience: 
Yes, I watched the tea steep (5-7 minutes). My double walled insulated mug did its job well. First, I sipped without adding almond milk. Yummy! The strawberry was not as present during my tasting as were the sweet blackberry leaves. 

I added almond milk (Silk gluten free with vanilla 30%) and sipped. Missing something! So I added a very small amount of agave. Perfect for an after-dinner dessert replacement.

The health factor in this tea is that Rooibos is the number one listed ingredient. So many benefits from Rooibos! I do enjoy Rooibos but not by itself so this tea is an excellent tea in which the health properties of Rooibos are hidden and do not end up on the forefront of my palate (liken to pureeing beans to hide in soup).

I give Cuppa Chocolate Strawberry Chocolate rave reviews. It's caffeine-free as well and if that were not enough, according to The Republic of Tea's website, "Strawberry Cuppa Chocolate Tea was featured on NBC Today Show as the top 10 Skinny Foods all dieters should try."

Eradicate: Blotting Out God In America by David Fiorazo

Hold on to your seats Christians! Author David Fiorazo has written a timely, intriguing, energizing and quite transparent book about God being removed from our culture. This Holy Spirit-inspired anointed work was exactly what I needed to kick me out of the complacency which I had not realized until reading this book had crept into my Christian lifestyle.

Of course we hear of false teachers in the "last days" and we take in tidbits of this and that about teachers that we had once idolized in our Christian walk whom are now falling away. But we still buy the slightly controversial (watered-down feel good Christianity) books, cd's and tune in every now and then on the radio and tv and often actually feel comforted by the casualness Christianity has become in our culture. 
However, after reading Eradicate (the most challenging chapters which were Chapters 12 & 13), I am emboldened to look around and realize that the heat has been turned up on the proverbial "pot" of simmering water. Thanks to Eradicate, this toad is jumping out now because I know I am in a bit of hot water even though my comfort zone of Christianity had been telling me otherwise 'til now!

I recommend everyone who picks up this book read the Intro. Powerful! Also, I appreciated the footnotes, Scripture and excellent references throughout. Being a fan of Bonhoeffer, I appreciated the quote, "Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak; not to act is to act." Another quote which I did not note its origin (read the book!), "Too many believers are rolling over and hitting the snooze button." Page 36 was eye opening with its explanation of the true meaning of church and state as the original framers intended. Boy! the President, Judges, Congress and Senate need to read every word of Chapter 2!

I recommend Eradicate for everyone who is looking to be the best they can be in these last (evil)days. If you are a true follower of the Lord Jesus Christ, you need this book. We must not be deceived. This book offers many nuggets of wisdom and weapons for your arsenal - more than I can mention in this brief review. Buy a copy today. You will read it in one sitting. It is that energizing and (spoiler) convicting. You will never be the same. Now excuse me, I have to go find a very deceived Christian (are there levels of being deceived?) in my Sunday School class who definitely needs to read Chapter 12....

Strawberry Basil Iced Tea by The Republic of Tea

 Upon cracking open the canister, one cannot help but smile. The strawberry scent was quite present. Yum! Each large tea bag made a quart of iced tea. I added boiling water to my glass pitcher and steeped on the counter until cool. I did not add ice but chilled in the fridge. I like my tea very potent and so I did add ice to my guest's glass (but not mine), and I also added fresh sliced strawberry and fresh basil mashed in my herb pestle into our glasses. I am sure it would be beautiful to freeze strawberries and mashed basil in ice cube trays and add to your guests glasses. Pretty!

I have a confession. While reviewing this iced tea I realized I was coveting The Republic of Tea's Double Infusion pitcher. This pitcher has just been added to my Christmas in July list. (I have been very very good Santa) I would be 4 ounces short of 3 quarts so that would mean triple the Strawberry Basil Iced Tea. Perfect for the entire week.

Biodynamic Heirloom Chamomile by The Republic of Tea

The 1.5 oz canister of Biodynamic Heirloom Chamomile steeps 36 cups of tea. However, I like my nighttime tea strong so that it can replace my melatonin and urge me onward to bed early for some deep zzz's. This tea did not disappoint. I poured just about 9 oz of boiling purified water over 2 round (love round tea bags) unbleached tea bags. I steeped the full 7 minutes with a glass dome over the top so that my tea would still be steamy when I was ready to sip (hey - we crank the A/C high here in South Florida in June!). I added honey just before sipping. Ahhh...breathe in the health.

My husband and I have made a habit of enjoying hot tea before bed. We chew on some fennel seed while the kettle boils for our steamy tea. Often I will make him green or white tea. I drink whatever tea I fancy at the moment. 

One night, I substituted The Republic of Tea Biodynamic Heirloom Chamomile for him without telling him. He mentioned while he was sipping this tea that he really liked our tradition of drinking hot tea before bed. He mentioned how good this tea was. I did not tell him I swapped out his old usual green or white for a sleepier version. I smiled when we headed off early to bed and soon after heard him snoring.

Best of all, (and even better than inducing a sleep state) this tea is grown on a small 100-acre organic garden at the base of the Italian Alps. Someone went to a lot of trouble to make sure this tea was truly organic (and it is!). As if that were not enough to make me want to stock my entire tea box with Biodynamic Heirloom Chamomile....while we were sleeping, these tea leaves were being harvested at night when their essential oils are at their peak. Kind of an ironic twist on an amazing tea. Someone in Italy is working hard long into the night to provide me and my hubby with a tea that can send us to bed early. Mmm -- this tea is the only sleepy tea for me!

Barbed-Wire Butterflies by Jessica Kristie

Hope. If I had to describe this fictional account which helped me to understand human trafficking, the word 'hope' would be the very best word to describe Barbed-Wire Butterflies.

Elani Benjamin's (main character) journey into a hellish existence helped me to become more passionate about praying for those who have lost their freedom - whether due to sexual trafficking or an existence in a sweat shop. I was educated and introduced in a gentle but riveting manner into the very real tragedy called human trafficking. The author described this atrocity through the eyes of one girl who was taken captive. Her will to survive was splayed with hope. Hope was what inspired her to create beautiful butterflies made with the most visible symbol of her captivity - barbed-wire.

Without being a spoiler, I was cheering, crying for her and touched by her willingness to be brave despite the the odds of her escape. I thoroughly enjoyed witnessing her risk her own safety by befriending her cell mates and "den mom" and then the hero. Her friendships and faith in God are what kept her from losing her mind. She was blessed. Oh that many, many more would manipulate barbed-wire!!!

The author is clearly a faith-filled woman of God, but this book I believe is for secular as well as the Christian market. The faith message was subtle yet so powerful. I thought of the little girl in the red coat in Schindler's List whose red coat danced in front of a sepia toned background. Elani had hope. She clung to that hope.

I reflected often and wondered if I had ever been placed in that position, would I have the will to survive, the hope, the strength to endure? Personal reflection and conviction for taking my own freedom for granted at times were two other takeaways (besides the reminder of our choosing to have hope in all situations).

Halfway through reading Barbed-Wire Butterflies, I joined a human trafficking prayer group at Calvary Chapel Boca Raton. We meet Sunday morning at 8:00 am before service. I am moved to tears as we lift up men and women we do not know and may never meet. We pray not just for their freedom and their safety, but their salvation. We realize that someone somewhere may just be waking up from a hellish nite only to relive it all over again - and again - and again. Praying is what I can do. And hopefully more people will read Jessica Kristie's Barbed-Wire Butterflies and be inspired to get angry about the injustices and begin praying.

I was so inspired. I will never be the same after reading Barbed-Wire Butterflies. There is so much work to be done.

Hibiscus Superflower Tea by The Republic of Tea

I followed the directions on the canister to make hot and cold tea. Holy yum! I preferred the cold tea. Living in South Florida, I am always looking for a refreshing way to hydrate without plain old boring agua by itself. Yes, I also drink plenty of lemon water, but I often have a craving for a sweeter, tastier drink- a change from the same old same old. 

What I really appreciated about Republic of Tea's Superflower Watermelon Tea was the subtle flavor of sweet blackberry leaves. I do not like my refresher beverages to be too sweet. This tea had the perfect balance of tart, citrus and slightly sweet.

I also appreciated the inclusion of Stevia, which is a wonderfully healthy sweetener. The taste of watermelon was not as present as I had anticipated, but I viewed this as an opportunity to add a chunk or two to my cold tea instead of my usual slice of lemon.


I know this is kinda silly, but I was surprised to find round tea bags in the canister. Fun! Since this product is only made with sustainable ingredients, I know I can reuse the tea - paper and all, in my worm factory for vermiculture. Thanks Republic of Tea, for not using staples or a string. Less work for me to prepare the red wiggly worm daily meal. Less waste too.


There are 36 tea bags in the canister. The canister is reusable. It is so pretty. The canister has already become a fixture in my kitchen on a bookcase. It sits amongst the seed packets from my garden. I celebrate this product for so many reasons! This is a new product and $1 of each tin purchased will be donated to Action Against Hunger..

This book was beautifully illustrated and subtitles were helpful in summarizing each section. I love a parallel and this book's parallel was perfume and God's love. Scripture was included throughout. The author's writing style was clearly encouraging, positive and passionate. 

Miss Robin Smith loves God and His Word and is gifted in sharing through example God's love for each woman. I easily became emotional on page eight when she shared Scripture and inserted several women's names into the verse. I found this powerful and personal and sensitive. I have to admit, I added my name a few times to what she shared. This writing style helped me to become part of this journey into Perfumed Letters.

My favorite quote was found on page 10, " Your objective is to be proactive, and not reactive: Find out who God is in order to know who you are. This cannot happen by purchasing a necklace with a cross on it or imitating a celebrity. I can take it one step further. You will not find out who God is by believing every word of a preacher alone. Yes, for every reference to Scripture verbal or written, verify that it is indeed true. Get a Bible and read it." Amen! This was the direct exhortation with an encouraging spirit that I applauded.

A story stuck with me in which she was traveling alone with her infant son. I was convicted and will assist others more than I have in the past as a result. I can always offer to do something for someone within reason, especially in an airport. There were so many personal stories throughout Perfumed Letters which encouraged, inspired and exhorted me to be a more loving, Christ-centered and fragrant follower.  

I highly recommend this book and will refer to often. I read it as a devotional, but it would be wonderful for a woman's Bible study book as well.This was a wonderful tool for sharing with a non-believer as well - the perfect pairing with a bottle of perfume for your mother, sister, friend's birthday. I hope to read more from Miss Robin T. Smith.

Restless: A DVD-Based Study by Jennie Allen

I reviewed the eight sessions of the DVD in the "See" portion of the Leadership box before reviewing the participant book and leadership guide.

Since I am a visual person, my eyes celebrated the fact right away that this study was to be a beautiful setting in which we would journey into God's Word. The teaching took place in a shabby chic style coffeehouse chapel setting. The beauty of the light, stained glass and the bottles, cups and saucers were highlighted. Each session began with this type of visual tour. Artistically done, I was instantly inspired and ready to glean from each day's teaching. Joseph was the main character in this study but so many life lessons and Truth was mentioned in each session.

My favorite session was Places. I actually watched it twice. The second time I watched it with my husband. He agreed that Jennie Allen was wonderfully expressive and on fire for Jesus.

Clearly, each day was the anointed day for me to tune in to her teaching. This study was anointed and I do believe was and still is bathed in much prayer. I just know from my own personal time with the materials that God had already entered the process. I felt the presence of the  Holy Spirit within the first few seconds the DVD began. 

The speaker was humble, direct and honest. I have not witnessed a  Bible teacher (public figure in print and video) with her passion and transparency in a long time (if ever!).

For once, I have to say that I am at a loss for words to describe how blessed I was to be entrusted with a review. I have learned so much and have so much respect for this teacher. I reviewed the study book and the cards that would be introduced in a small group setting. I regretted not having had attended her study at my church. This study needs to be at every church where the Word of God is spoken!

One mini criticism I had which was even more minor after watching the study was the repetition of the word 'feel' on the cards and on the back of the study book for the participants. I run far and fast away from the 'feel' word. The back of the book asked, "Do you feel restless? What if this feeling weren't a bad thing? This feeling could be a longing, ..." I get it. And we do need to appeal to others feelings to lead them to Christ. We need to know our feelings will lead way to faith. And faith was the order of the day in Restless. It was not based on emotions, but the Word of God.

Lastly, I have a confession to make. I wanted to be in that room with Jennie Allen! I wanted to be next to that sweet sister she hugged at the end of one of the sessions and be close enough to see the tear fall down her cheek. I like that she admitted she does not like small talk and she wants to be real, even though being real costs and hurts. I want more from her! I would love to be her friend, to be cheering her on and sharing a cup of the coffee she served with the creamy heart in the center. She was cool, beautiful, humble,  passionate and everything I aspire to be! Of course, as she stated, she was not a 'Beth Moore' ha ha! 

We all need to be who God designed each of us to be. However, a hero of the faith such as Jennie Allen surely is someone I would want to befriend - and so, I shall pray for her ministry and follow her blog and to hopefully continue to review her Bible Studies! Though she is quite young in years, her wisdom will hopefully lead her on to be the Titus woman that this generation is so sorely lacking.

Beautiful A.M. Moisturizer and P.M. Revitalizer

The benefits and results are many but I will share the most obvious results. The directions state to not rub but to apply and let your skin absorb and in time you will know how much to apply as your skin gets used to this amazing food for your face.

I am really into massage and skin circulation so I washed my skin and massaged before applying Beautiful. I used both A.M. and P.M. for 30 days straight. I also exfoliated my lips and skin on my upper lip before applying Beautiful each day. Besides removing the hyper pigmentation (sun damage) on my upper lip, the oils actually firmed my skin and my skin became more even colored - a much healthier tan glow! I was glowing as I wore the oils all day without anything over it. Every now and then I did mist with some purified water and some lemon juice, just so I felt refreshed (it gets hot here in South Florida).

I was quite surprised to read other reviews of Beautiful as the reviewers mainly touched on the nice citrus smell more so than any other benefit. While I did enjoy the scent, the overall tightening and glow the oils added to my face was a far more valuable benefit. Each product in the set smells similar but I was advised that the A.M. formula had different oils and ingredients than the P.M. formula (and yes, I did have whiteheads come out the first few weeks, especially on my nose.)

Beautiful arrived with my name on both bottles! I looked at the bottle every time I picked it up to use and I actually said the name out loud along with my name (Beautiful Christina). I feel one can never have enough affirmations. I am beautiful after all so I appreciated the personal touch with my name on the bottles.

OraMD Mouth Doctor: An Unbelievably Effective 3-In-1 Oral Care Product!!

This product has all the properties I seek in an oral care product. First, it is made of peppermint,  spearmint and almond oil. Third, this product truly does serve three purposes: toothpaste, mouthwash and breath freshener.

Be prepared tho cause the very first time I added this liquid to my toothbrush, I experienced a big boost of minty goodness. I got a little on my lip and was surprised how much it tingled. However, I was prepared for this sensation as I read all of the literature and the website before reviewing.

You can't squirt toothpaste in your mouth and use as a breath freshener, so I was excited alone by the liquid breath freshener aspect of this product. I assumed it would serve two purposes well (mouthwash, breath freshener on the go).

However, I give this product raves because after using it just once my teeth felt clean all day long even though I only brushed my teeth with it in the morning!!! I can't say that for any other natural toothpaste I have ever used. The tartar always seems to coat my teeth by early afternoon, especially after eating breakfast, drinking coffee, a glass of wine and dinner.

Also, I was so excited to see that OraMD is Made in the USA. I really do support US made products now more than ever. I recommend OraMD also because it will save you money. Right now, I have an expensive organic, 100% pure mouthwash on my bathroom sink. I have a half a dozen all natural (good-for-you) toothpastes. Then, throughout my house and in my purse and in the car, I am always hunting for gum and breath mints.I am always buying products. English Breakfast Tea by EnjoyingTea.com

I sampled EnjoyingTea.com's English Breakfast tea. I chose the very convenient tea bag although I could have opted to review the same loose tea use a teaball. No matter, this tea reminded me that breakfast is a very good time to for a tea party!

I did add boiling water to a bodum glass (so I could see the color (how dark or light it steeped just to report my findings in this review). I waited five minutes, then added Agave and some lemon to it. This tea was not as dark in color as I had expected and truly would be perfect with scones of any kind. I enjoyed this tea hot but don't think it would be as good with ice.

One comment I did have was that I noticed this tea bag package did not have a label on it, and upon opening the plastic covering, the teabag label attached with a string to the teabag also did not state what type of tea it was. I mention this because of course every tea-throwing hostess will use a tea box and proudly display her tea collection so that her guests can pick their favorite tea from the teabox. Not having a label stating English Breakfast tea was a bit of a bummer. I could  hand write on the package, but this just seemed like work.

Excuse me for being picayune but such a wonderful online tea store no doubt can handle picayune criticism!
