I did cartwheels when HealthBizDirect Inc. contacted me with the opportunity to review essential oils from their Scential Health line! More excited than a kid in a candy store was I when I saw Frankincense was a product offering for review! 

Since Frankincense is one of the Fourteen Principal Oils of the Bible (and mentioned 22x directly + 59x indirectly), I knew this essential oil was going to be my top pick! Frankincense was one of the oils which the Wise Men presented to baby Jesus. This essential oil was called "incense" in the Hebrew language in Isaiah 66:3, Jeremiah 6:20; 17-26; 41:5 in the KJV translation. This was a holy oil used for anointing.

Fast forward to today - helps depression, allergies, warts, headaches, bronchitis, herpes, tonsillitis, immune builder, expectorant. In the last few years, I have had repeated bouts of bronchitis. I know that boiling a bowl of water over the stove and adding 3-4 drops of Scential Health Frankincense then breathing in deeply will help clear my lungs and ease the congestion that comes with colds and bronchial issues. Sweet Basil, Cypress, Eucalyptus, Ginger Root, Lavender, Lemon, Sweet Orange, Peppermint, and Ravensara - blended goodness in a bottle. This essential is a one-of-a kind spa in an amber bottle!

ReliefMD - A Must Have Item for Every First Aid Kit!

 It was a sad day when my feral rescue cat Vespucci snake'bit my leg! Yes, all four teeth punctured my skin and I actually had to pull his teeth out of one bite hole. He did not mean it! This is his nature and I was not reading all of this communications. I was petting him when he was silently telling me to stop.

And so, ReliefMD to the rescue! The puncture holes in my leg had become infected even though I used peroxide and washed the wounds 5 times a day. When this product arrived in my mailbox, I could not have been happier. I used this product as a salve. I applied it to around the hot, inflamed areas. I did not place it on the wound. Within 4 hours, the worst bite mark had calmed down and the red heat mark around it disappeared. In about a day I only saw the bite and a brownish bruise around it.

I also followed the directions on the flyer and swiped the bottle across my upper lip before I went to bed. The euphoric blend of almond, eucalyptus, peppermint,wintergreen, camphor, spearmint and olive is a wonderfully calming blend. I enjoyed smelling it when I woke up in the morning! Yes, the scent was still quite evident. So delicious to smell!

I hate to compare a non-natural, inferior product such as BenGay to this massage in a bottle, but I did think of BenGay as I used ReliefMD. It smelled slightly similar, but so much better! I realized this comparison was not bad at all. This product is for health-conscious savvy consumers who make excellent lifestyle decisions. So tremendous to have wonderful products nowadays. I plan on purchasing a small glass amber bottle for my purse. I do believe having this product on hand at any time is important. ReliefMD also soothes mosquito bites, insect bites and stings. Snuggle Time Devotions That End With a Hug! by Stephen Elkins

This beautifully illustrated children's book by Stephen Elkins is a celebration of life! I love the fact that there were so many birds, bees, bunnies, blue skies, Bible verses and so much more on each and every page!

The format was the same for each devo. So well organized.

• Title, verse location, verse written out in a heart with a ribbon swirl.
• My snuggle up story
• My snuggle time takeaway
• My Bible time activity.
• Hug! time on the side of the page

Though the recommended ages were not listed on Snuggle Time Devotions, I do imagine an entire family  reading this anointed work together. I can't help but smile when I envision how fun reading each day and then making sure each child understands - then hugging would be! This book is the best "tuck-in-time" book ever....

One Organic Organic Roasted Seaweed Premium Sushi Nori

I have so many good things to say about this One Organic party pack of roasted seaweed. First of all, I am quite surprised by the low price compared to the Nori that I have been buying in my local Publix! 

This product arrived with 50 large sheets of Nori. The Nori is not flimsy like the supermarket variety. It is so much thicker, which will allow me as a beginner sushi maker (yes my husband and I took a class on how to make sushi but have not perfected it yet!) to more easily be successful at making California and hand rolls. 

I reviewed this product as a snack. I liked the saltiness of it and it satisfied any cravings I had during the day for potato sticks or for something salty like pretzels. I ate two sheets and was happy happy happy. I also hate to admit I smeared tahini with ginger on one side, rolled it up and dipped it in walnut oil. It was delicious! Don't knock it, 'til you try it.....

On to my next review testing idea. This seaweed was perfect for snipping with a kitchen scissor into a bowl of soup. Cut or rip small pieces and use instead of croutons. Not just tasty - but good for you too. Dietary Fiber, Vitamin A, Calcium, Vitamin C and Iron and Protein in each sheet. There is no trans fat and no saturated fat. I am a fan of saturated fat, so even though there is none in this product, I can envision adding it to something that has saturated fat (like cheese, splash of olive oil on top a bowl of soup. And so, this is the perfect accompaniment for soup, salad and many many other dishes.

Call me crazy, but I was snacking on a sheet of One Organic Roasted Seaweed Sushi Nori and my dog started jumping up on me and begging for some. Why not, right? I give my cats and dog kelp in their food every now and then. It's good for them. So I pulled off a piece and gave it to her. She begged for more and more and more. I am sure the manufacturers did not have dog treats in mind when they manufactured this product. But, hey, why not?

Another nice touch is the subtle lines impressed on each sheet. I have to believe these lines would be good for cutting evenly or for a guide to fill for a sushi roll. I always notice the little touches that make a product unique. And so I appreciated the line guides.

Lastly, don't be dissuaded to purchase this nori because you fear the roasted flavor will take center stage and detract from the flavors of your sushi (I have never found roasted nori sheets in my local grocery store but just plain nori). The roasted flavor is subtle and the saltiness is not overpowering. I have tasted roasted salted seaweed which made me want to drink a river! I did not like the fact that my lips puckered afterward and the roasted flavor burned my taste buds. You will enjoy this subtle roasted flavor. It is so delicious.

There is no reason not to buy this product - today - on Amazon. Oh, also USDA Organic and a low calorie Superfood. I recommend One Organic Roasted Seaweed Sushi Nori. I have nothing but raves to report! There is no excuse not to try making sushi as the manufacturer has provided you the handy dandy "how-to" illustration above ;).

One Organic: Organic Matcha

 Organic Matcha by One Organic is truly the richest Matcha I have ever experienced! I first tried mixing a tablespoon of matcha into boiling water. Yummy yes but slightly too much matcha for my 8 oz coffee cup. And so, I experimented with adding 1 teaspoon of matcha to hot water. I learned on A Healthy You with Carol Alt recently that green teas should never be in hot water over 165 degrees. This is to get the most antioxidants (EGCG) intact as well as amino acids. And so, I did allow the matcha to simmer and steep in the hot water a bit, then I added almond milk with vanilla and some maple syrup for sweetness. Oh my yummy goodness!!

My second adventure with One Organic Organic Matcha began as my first. I added 1 teaspoon matcha powder to hot water and then I steamed almond milk in my milk frother (a Christmas gift from my favorite cat this year!). I folded the milk froth into the matcha and added cinnamon and apple spice to the top. Delicious!! So satisfying and would be wonderful in place of a snack or dessert. 

I did not experiment with adding cacao powder or other toppings yet, but I plan on doing so for fun. I think adding a dollop of whipped cream to the hot matcha would also be a healthy indulgence and possibly if I am feeling especially sweet, karamel syrup or heated maple syrup with some crushed almonds on top would be fun. Also can be used in cakes, cookies or pies or breakfast muffins!

One Organic Organic Matcha arrived from Amazon in a generous 8.8 oz pouch. The pouch had a convenient resealable option and I did keep in the refrigerator after opening. The packaging was convenient and I could not help noticing that the packaging was designed to stand up by itself - nice touch!

I plan on keeping this product on hand also because it is a Superfood. However, the most exciting part is that it has the USDA Organic seal. This is huge because though this is a product of China (most matcha are), this product passed stringent tests and the manufacturer went to great lengths for you the consumer to have the best,  healthiest 100% organic matcha - all natural-nothing added tea. If you were not aware, formaldehyde can be used in the production process as well as in the flavorings a propylene glycol base unless a product is organic. USDA means none of those dangers in your tea!

There are so many benefits to drinking this tea. I highly recommend One Organic Organic Matcha.

High As A Kit Candle Set by Old Factory Candles

I enjoyed reviewing Old Factory "High As A Kit" set - especially the Cannabis soy candle. I can hear it now from my readers, "I didn't know you were for the legalization of medical marijuana!" (smile) I voted NO last month for NO for the legalization of marijuana last month on my Florida Absentee ballot (and I applauded when it didn't pass).

Now that we are all on the same page - when the kind folks at Old Factory Candles approached me with a review opportunity I excitedly said, "Yes!". I was blessed to choose from a long list of their amazing candle offerings. I chose the set High As A Kite because my husband and I have been on the hunt for a candle that smelled like cigars. We love that Havana inspired scent. Envision a smoke room in Cuba-lots of men and women (!) sitting around in leather club chairs playing board games or discussing the weather. Smoke wafting into the overhead banana frond fans. You get the picture....

Old Factory's Cannabis fit the bill. Yay! This is one clean-burning soy candle. Despite it's petite size, it is quite potent. Cannabis was my fav from the 3 scents I reviewed (Cannabis, Incense & Bag O' Cookies). Bag O' Cookies was oh! so delicious! And perfect for burning in the early am with coffee and then a sticky bun (or two). Incense was a powdery scent. Nice, but not as powerful as the incense sticks I currently burn.

I highly recommend an Old Factory set of your choice for yourself or for a friend for a gift. So fun, and Made in the USA. Support an American Made product.
