Vitacost.com: Free Samples and Excellent Deals!

I am a passionate saver! And so, when I come across a generous e-tailer, I have a hard time not sharing! I shop Vitacost often, enjoy savings and after a year, I finally realized samples were available as freebies with each order!'

With any order from this mega online natural pharmacy store you have the awesome chance to choose two samples with your order. After you are done shopping, click the continue shopping button then look to the lower left for a samples category. If you don't see it, enter 'samples' in the search box.

Double check in your cart that you are not being charged for the sample. It has been my experience that I received two samples per order. When I tried to sneak a third sample into my cart, I was charged $1.49 -- and that was not a freebie!

Vitacost also has great deals on many products that I travel to the WholeFoods for.... Why not plan ahead and search your favs online? Shipping is free often with a minium of $49. Standard shipping is fast, too.

Who knows - you may launch your very own review blog with all the free samples you will receive form this very accomodating, valuable webseller.

Hope this freebie is a blessing!

Olay Professional ProX Clear Complexion Renewing Lotion

This product found me. It arrived in my mailbox one day. I read the box which stated, "Professional Designed for Adults with Acne" and that it was a new product on the market.

I smiled as I realized the timing for me to review this product could not have been better. I had just gotten home from a one-week vacation of sun bathing every day. Sun bathing and slathering suntan lotion on my face for seven days straight. Cheap, oily suntan lotion that is. I basically used whatever I had in my medicine cabinet this year, trying to be frugal. Big mistake! I came home with a tan and I also came home with a slight breakout on my chin of all places.

The directions stated to smooth over your entire face. I understand this would be beneficial to someone with an acne problem. However, I tested this lotion on just my chin. Smelled clean, non-greasy, clear so it didn't mess up my turtle neck sweater!  I did see a marked improvement in the skin. The lotion had a drying effect which was immediate. No doubt the entire Olay Professional Pro X Kit (shown) would be a great skin care plan for an adult with breakout issues. I also would recommend it to someone who has skin issues elsewhere - neck, back or even small areas prone to breakouts.

I hope the good folks at Proctor & Gamble (manufacturer of Olay) will allow me to review more products - especially the suntan lotion without all the oil (Olay Professional Pro-X Clear UV Moisturizer SPF 15). I'm not one to support the "name it and claim it philosophy", but in this case, What not?

But chances are, if I had used Olay Professional Pro-X Clear UV Moisturizer SPF 15 on my vacation, then chances are that I would not have needed the sample I received in the mail after my vacation.

I enjoyed trying out this acne solution in the generous .24 oz tube. It's getting stashed in my purse - just in case. A girl can never have enough skin solutions! I have truly found my go-to for acne in Olay Professional Prox Clear Complexion Renewing Lotion!

Decision Points by George W. Bush

This book was written in first person by George Bush. The tone was conversational and down-to-earth. I almost felt as if Mr. Bush were sitting beside me sharing the ups and downs, the true accounts and the not-so-favorite memories and challenges he experienced both privately as well as publicly.
His memoir included color photos in the center of the book (loved

that personal touch). There are also random shots of other times and places. Although sad times were discussed (Katrina, 911, start of war with Iraq), the photos were mostly upbeat and showed a softer side of the President.

Evident was his love for the Lord, his wife and country. I have always respected and enjoyed learning about this man and what he went through during his presidency. Actually, it was my very first time ever voting and I voted for him. Reading Decision Points brought back so many memories from my first experiences with politics. I was drawn to politics as a result of witnessing this man share his "easy speak" with the nation.
After reading the chapter on Katrina I understood more so what had happened behind the scenes. I better understood the role the government had (both federal and local) during that horrible time when so many needed help and just waited for someone to come to their aid. I appreciated hearing from the President first-hand the process and his frustration.

A memoir such as this I will treasure always. Timing is everything and the timing on Mr. Bush's memoir coming out was to me, perfect. We are a country right now that needs hope. I have the hope that one day our country will once more have a president with Biblical values, belief in this nation's ability to persevere, and the success of our superpower status.

Was George Bush perfect? No. Not by any means. And one takeaway I got from this book is that he never claimed to have all the answers. But I can imagine hearing his voice now after reading Decision Points as he points to the sky and says something like, "I don't and never did have all the answers. But I know someone who did. And that makes every de
cision easier to make."

I can imagine him saying that because George Bush is just a man that had a very big role in our history. He served well. We served humbly. He did his very best. And I am grateful to have gleaned from his life and experiences as shared in Decision Points.
